To the Media,
What sets Emi Takes Hong Kong apart?
Given the number of Hong Kong based picture books on the market, you might be tempted to see Emi Takes Hong Kong as just another addition to the growing stack. Not so fast…What makes it different?
A picture book that doubles up as a travel guide- the story on creativity appeals to any reader as a satisfying one, whether it is their home town or not. At the same time, it can be used as a travel guide since Emi visits all the top sights in Hong Kong on his quest. There is a huge gap in the market for travel guides catering to young children and a story is the best way to introduce a city to them! The size of the book is intended for travel and easily fits into those backpacks and little hands!
Maps and glossaries- parents will be drawn to the book’s educational features such as maps and picture glossaries.
Quiz- keep the little ones busy on the road.
Perfect for local young readers- written by a local author, it introduces key cultural traditions such as dim sum and making a wish at Wong Tai Sin temple.
